Pine PINUS SYLVESTRIS

Pine Pinus Sylvestris is commonly used for production of windows, doors, furniture and other joinery and building materials. According to our experiences, pine Pinus Sylvestris is very suitable for production of high quality windows and doors. This specie has beautiful texture, pine wood is tough, excellent for planing and profiling. We offer only nordic pine Pinus Sylvestris from north part of Europe. When choosing pine logs, we concentrate for areas with high content of turf, which guarantees low percentage of resin in wood.

Pinus Sylvestris is the only pine native to northern Europe ranging from Western Europe to Eastern Siberia. In the north of its range, it occurs from sea level to about 1,000 m altitude, while in the south of its range it is a mountain tree, growing at about 1,200–2,600 m altitude. Pinus Sylvestris is an evergreen coniferous tree growing up to about 40 metres in height and about 1 m in trunk diameter.

Larch LARIX SIBIRICA

Larch Larix Sibirica wood is very valuable wood for production of durable windows and doors.

Larch wood is also milled for construction timber and veneer and pulped for the paper industry.

Because of its rot resistance, larch wood is very suitable for posts, poles, railroad tie sleepers, and mine props.

The wood is very durable and used in construction, traditionally for log houses. It has been widely used for railroad sleepers e.g. on the famous Trans Siberian Railroad.

Larch Larix Sibirica is common in Siberia, where you can alternatively find species Picea Obovata nad Pinus Sylvestris. It is grown in mountains from 500 m to 2,400 m aletitude in very cold climate conditions, minimum temperatures are about -55° C with very long winters.

Larch Larix Sibirica is an important timber tree. It is logged from natural coniferous forests as well as from plantations, which are established not only in Russia (from White Sea to Lake Baikal in Siberia) and China (Xinjiang Altai Mountains E Tien Shan), Mongolia (Altai Mountains) but e.g.  in Scandinavia and Iceland as well.

It is a coniferous tree reaching 20–50 m tall with a trunk up to about 1 m diameter.

When choosing pine logs, we concentrate for areas with high content of turf, which guarantees lower percentage of resin in wood to minimize opening resin pockets on sun-side of installed larch products.

Oak

Oak scantlings is one of the hardest specie of the temperate climate zone. Oak scantlings are commonly used for production of historical windows/doors or for luxury windows/doors, joinery, flooring, veneers and others. We offer oak scantlings from European as well as American Oak.

Oak wood is very durable long-lasting, has attractive wood grain, good water resistant properties. Oak wood is very heavy.
